Combat Job Delays With Concrete Fencing

It’s both frustrating and costly for contractors when a construction project is postponed. Some of the leading causes of job delays are budget, labor challenges, and poor weather conditions. Hilltop Concrete's 23 years as a concrete fence contractor give us a solid understanding of busy construction sites, as well as the unique challenges that can arise. Our precast concrete fencing also saves money and time by simply being precast. Not to mention, the ease of installation makes facing labor challenges and poor weather conditions much easier.

When you receive a bid from Hilltop Concrete, you can be sure it's as accurate as we can make it. We always perform a site review before finalizing a bid to ensure nothing is missed or unaccounted for. We do not want to blow our budget or yours so we are thorough in our review and planning. We try and plan for upcoming bad weather, expected or potential supply shortages, and all other things that can negatively affect the project budget before we start. When the unexpected happens, we work to make the solution as cost-effective as possible because we value your money as much as ours.

Sometimes, delays come from labor challenges. Things like malfunctioning or broken equipment happen more frequently than anyone would like. Hilltop Concrete is lucky that our concrete fencing can be installed without equipment if necessary. Labor challenges can also come in the form of shutdowns, much like we experienced during the pandemic, or instances where utility lines are marked incorrectly. While we call 8-1-1 for every project, mistakes can happen. We once had a utility line marked that was off by 8 inches! Luckily we were able to get it remarked and continue our installation. Sometimes delays are unavoidable but with Hilltop Concrete’s experience and expertise, we keep it to a minimum as much as possible.

Speaking of delays, poor weather conditions are probably at the top of the list. In Texas weather can be a bit unpredictable. That being said, we also know we can expect weather delays in the winter for storms and can therefore plan around that. While many construction projects can be affected by winter conditions, your fencing project can be manufactured in time, can still be constructed easily and completed on time, remain within budget, and maintain job site safety by utilizing precast concrete. Hilltop Concrete specializes in the manufacturing and installation of precast concrete fences all over the US, even in areas where cold weather can generally negatively impact a job site. No other building material equals concrete for its strength, durability, and economy. It is one of the most versatile and utilized building materials used on almost any construction site you can imagine.
